|Dorothy Max (nee Dillman), age 88, of Crown Point, formerly of Hammond, passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2013.
Dorothy is survived by her children: Pamela (Kenneth) Drangmeister, David Leeth, Barbara (Kevin) Judge and Thomas Leeth; grandchildren: Diana (Gregory) Lollis, Richard (Jennifer) Drangmeister, Jonathan Farina, Mark Judge, Ryan Leeth and Stephanie Leeth; great-grandchildren: Eric, Coen, Taylor, Travin, Cayden, Rebecca, Kara, Alex, Emma and Tate; brothers: Rudolph Dillman and John Dillman; sisters: Patricia Curtis and Marcia (Frank) Ingle. She was preceded in death by her parents: Coen and Sylvia Dillman.
Dorothy attended Resurrection Lutheran Church and was retired from the Lake County Welfare Department. She was a graduate of Indiana University, also attending Valparaiso University. Dorothy was a gifted artist, having worked as a commercial artist in Chicago at one time. She was a member of the Calumet City VFW Auxiliary, was an avid reader, enjoyed attending the Northwest Indiana Symphony concerts, and loved to ice skate in her younger years.
Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, December 1, 2013 at Geisen Funeral-Cremation & Reception Centre, (2 blocks east of Broadway) at 606 E. 113th Ave., Crown Point, IN from 1:00 to 8:00 PM.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 2, 2013 at Geisen Funeral-Cremation & Reception Centre in Crown Point, IN, at 11:00 AM with Rev. Robert Breitbarth officiating. Interment to follow at City of Crown Point Historic Maplewood Cemetery.
